GOT Polish Challenge: Green with Paris Sparkles Celery Stalker

This week’s GOT Polish Challenge theme is green!  (Details on the challenge can be found in my original post about it here.)  Green is my favorite color, so I was thrilled to go through my green polishes for this challenge.  It was such a difficult choice!  I ended up selecting Celery Stalker from Paris Sparkles.  This was one of the first polishes I purchased that had that ‘milky glitter’ look, before that was a huge thing and every brand had one.  I got this one right around 3 years ago.  I remember being thrilled with it when I got it, since I didn’t have anything like it at the time.

Celery Stalker has a light, yellow-toned green base.  The green can well be described as a true pistachio green.  Added to this is glitter in multiple colors and shapes; there are medium silver hexes, slightly smaller blue and green hexes, small red, and micro silver glitter.  There may be others as well, but those are the ones that are jumping out at me.  The green base builds easily, but it does not obscure the visibility of the glitter.  I used three coats of Celery Stalker, although it would have been fine at two, and it may have looked even better there than at three.  The micro silver glitter in this builds up and creates a textured look to the polish that doesn’t seem intentional, so the fewer coats one uses, the better for this polish.  I added the third coat to cover a very slight VNL, but it was probably only noticeable to me.  The rough texture could probably be smoothed out completely with a couple extra coats of top coat (I’m just not one for many layers of top coat unless I will be blown away by the result).  I recently purchased a glitter base, so I used that as my base coat, and I used a quick-dry top coat for the photos.

What do you think?  Do you like milky glitter polishes?  I love the whole ‘Easter egg’ look that nails have when decked out in pastels and glitter.  This is definitely a spring-y shade, and it’s been brightening up my dreary days.  The gritty texture in this polish is visible in the photos, but it’s not terribly distracting from the overall effect IRL.

I purchased Celery Stalker from the Paris Sparkles Etsy shop for $8.00.  It looks like this shade is still available, although the swatch in the store listing looks a little different than mine, so the glitter mix used in this one may have been changed at some point.
